Salad jars are not only super delicious but super practical. The key to making the perfect salad jar is in the layer order.

Here are the best tips I found for layering:
1. Put dressing at the bottom
2. Add wet ingredients like beans, tomatoes or fruit
3. Add Protein Layer
4. Place greens on the top

1. Chicken, Arugula Salad Jar

This chicken salad jar is stacked to perfection and packed with veggies. I love the combination of chickpeas, tomatoes & cucumbers.  Here are the layers bottom to top:

1. Balsamic vinaigrette

2. 1/2 cup of chickpeas

3. Baby heirloom tomatoes

4. Sliced cucumber

5. 3/4 cup chicken

6. Arugula

2. Black Bean & Corn Egg Salad Jar

I love this salad jar as it has a bit of a southwestern-feel. Add jalapeño if you are feeling extra spicy. Here are the layers top to bottom:

1. Balsamic vinaigrette

2. Baby heirloom tomatoes

3. 1/4 cup of black beans

4.1/4 cup of corn

5. Red onion

6. Two eggs

7. Mixed greens

This salad is the perfect sweet combo. Here are the layers top to bottom:

1. Balsamic Vinaigrette

3. Cucumbers
4. 1 cup sliced mango
5. Red Bell Pepper
6. 1/2 cup edamame
7. 6-7 small shrimp
8. Mixed Greens
