Keeping your meal preps simple yet delicious is the key to success. I decided to shake it up a little this week from my usual buffet style meal prep. The new OXO snap containers  I got had awesome tight sealed lids. I included a variety of veggies and stuck to chicken, eggs, turkey and Shakeology for quality sources of protein.

For those on the 21 Day Fix eating plan, I’m in the 1500–1799 calorie level and I get 4 green containers (veggies), 3 purple containers (fruits), 4 red containers (proteins), 3 yellow containers (carbs), 1 blue container (healthy fats), 1 orange container (nuts and seeds), and 4 teaspoons (oils and nut butters) each day. Here’s this weeks info below:

Breakfast: Shakeology blended with water, ice & a banana, oatmeal (not shown) (1 Red, 2 Purple, 2 Yellow)
Snack: Pomegranate seeds or kiwi berries (1 purple)
Lunch (M/W): Shredded chicken, broccoli & sweet potato (1 Green, 1 Red, 1 Yellow, 2 tsp.)
Lunch (Tue/Thur): Shredded Chicken, asparagus & sweet potato (1 Green, 1 Red, 1 Yellow, 2 tsp.)
Post-Workout: Hard boiled egg salad with balsamic vinaigrette (1 red, 2 green, 1 orange)
Dinner: Turkey marinara with spaghetti squash & cheese (not shown) in my new OXO snap containers (1 red, 1+ green, 2 tsp., 1 blue)
Extra: Bell peppers and baby carrots

Here’s the grocery list for this 4 day meal prep:

Protein:
dozen eggs
16 oz chicken breast
20 oz ground turkey
4 packets Shakeology

Dairy:
1 bag cheese (for turkey marinara)

Fruit:
Pomegranate seeds
Kiwi berries
4 bananas

Vegetables:
2 cups broccoli
16 asparagus spear
4 cups kale (or spinach if you prefer)
1 box cherry tomatoes
1 cup cauliflower
1 bag brown mushrooms
1 can artichoke hearts
1 large spaghetti squash (or 2 medium ones)
1 can diced tomatoes (for turkey marinara)
1 white onion
1 bag baby carrots
1-2 bags mini bell peppers

Dry, Carbs and Canned Goods:
4 cups oatmeal
4 large sweet potatoes
low-sodium chicken broth (to make shredded chicken in)

Pantry:
cinnamon
olive oil
vainagrette
no-salt seasoning mix

Meal Prep Containers:
