The most exciting clean food products from the world’s largest natural food convention

Every year I attend Expo West, the world’s largest natural and health food convention, where thousands of brands showcase their newest products.

But here’s the thing — just because something is at a “natural foods expo” doesn’t automatically mean it’s healthy.

There are thousands of products, and many still contain ultra-processed ingredients, seed oils, artificial dyes, and unnecessary additives.

So I walked the entire show floor to find brands that are actually doing things differently — focusing on real ingredients, simpler formulas, and better sourcing.

Here are some of the best healthy food finds from Expo West 2026.

Best Healthy Frozen Finds

Grass-Fed Beef Fries — Jesse & Ben’s

One of the most unique products I saw this year.

Jesse & Ben’s created grass-fed beef fries, a high-protein alternative to traditional frozen fries.

What makes them stand out:

• Made with grass-fed beef
• High in protein
• Great for quick meals or appetizers

It’s a fun, savory snack that feels indulgent but is made with much higher-quality ingredients than most frozen foods.

Protein Pancakes — Evergreen Waffles

Evergreen Waffles is launching protein pancakes made with real ingredients, including:

• Greek yogurt
• Whole eggs

Instead of relying heavily on ultra-processed protein powders, these pancakes get their protein from whole food ingredients, which is refreshing to see.

They’re expected to launch in Whole Foods in Fall 2026.

Better-For-You Sweet Treats

Dye-Free Sprinkles — Supernatural Plant-Based Foods

Most conventional sprinkles contain artificial food dyes and additives.

Supernatural Plant-Based Foods created a dye-free sprinkle alternative made with better ingredients.

What makes them different:

No artificial dyes
• No high fructose corn syrup
• Simple ingredient list

They add the same fun color to desserts — without the artificial ingredients.

A Cleaner Alternative to Jell-O — Lasso

If you grew up eating Jell-O but want a cleaner version, this brand is worth knowing.

Lasso offers a gelatin dessert made with:

Grass-fed gelatin
• Simpler ingredients
• No artificial dyes

It’s a nostalgic dessert made with much better ingredients.

Healthier Popsicles — GoodPop

GoodPop continues to make frozen treats with cleaner ingredients than most popsicles on the market.

Their popsicles are:

• Free from high fructose corn syrup
• Free from artificial dyes
• Made with simple ingredients

They also come in fun flavors kids love, making them a great better-for-you frozen treat.

Better-For-You Snack Finds

Seven Sundays PB Puffs

These were one of my favorite snack discoveries.

Seven Sundays PB Puffs contain:

10 grams of protein
• Sweetened with dates and maple syrup
• No ultra-processed sweeteners

They taste like a peanut butter cereal but with much better ingredients.

Solely Fruit Gummies

These might be one of the cleanest fruit snacks on the market.

Solely fruit gummies are:

USDA Organic
• Made with just fruit
• Free from dyes, added sugars, and artificial ingredients

They’re also launching new flavors and fun shapes, which will be great for kids.

Sunny Snackable Combos

These remind me of the snack packs many of us grew up with — but made with better ingredients.

Sunny offers snack combos like:

• Pizza snacks
• S’mores snacks
• Cocoa snacks
• Jam snacks

They’re also:

Seed-oil free
• Kid-friendly
• Made with simpler ingredients

Great for lunchboxes or on-the-go snacks.

Better-For-You Sweet Crackers

Simple Mills Sweet Crackers

Simple Mills is launching new sweet crackers in two flavors:

Cinnamon
Cocoa

The cinnamon flavor tastes very similar to Cinnamon Toast Crunch, but made with the simple, high-quality ingredients Simple Mills is known for.

These are a great option if you want a sweet snack with a much cleaner ingredient list than most traditional crackers and cereals.

Healthier Drinks and Beverages

Clean Coffee Creamers — MALK

MALK is launching new coffee creamers that stood out for their simple ingredient approach.

Flavors include:

Vanilla Sweet Cream
Unsweetened Creamer

They’re made with simple ingredients and no unnecessary additives, which is rare in the coffee creamer category.

Spindrift Tea

Spindrift is known for sparkling drinks made with real fruit, and they’re now expanding into tea.

What makes these stand out:

No natural flavors
• Simple ingredients
• Light and refreshing taste

A much cleaner option compared to many bottled teas.

Just Ingredients Energy Drinks

Most energy drinks are packed with artificial ingredients and sweeteners.

Just Ingredients created a cleaner energy drink that avoids:

• Natural flavors
• Artificial sweeteners
• Excess additives

And surprisingly — they taste great.

Healthy Kid-Friendly Finds

Once Upon a Farm Smoothie Pouches

Once Upon a Farm continues to expand their lineup of organic smoothie pouches for kids.

New flavors include:

• Orange Mango Twist
• Strawberry Splash

They’re made with organic fruits and simple ingredients, making them an easy grab-and-go snack.

New Jam Launches

Smash Foods Jam

Smash Foods is launching new flavors of their fruit-forward jam.

What makes them stand out:

No added sugar
• Made with real fruit
• Simple ingredients

It’s a great option if you want the flavor of jam without the heavy added sugar found in most traditional brands.

Final Thoughts: Healthy Innovation at Expo West

Expo West is one of the best places to discover new health food innovations, but it’s important to remember that not everything marketed as “natural” is actually healthy.

The brands that stood out this year focused on:

Simple ingredient lists
Better sourcing
Less ultra-processing
Great taste

I’ll be sharing even more healthy finds from Expo West 2026, so stay tuned.
