Not all cleaning products are created equal. A lot of the most popular household brands are loaded with chemicals linked to hormone disruption, skin irritation, and even cancer — and most of us have no idea. Here are the toxic swaps I made in my own home, and the safer alternatives I actually love. 🌿

🍽️ dishwasher tabs
Many popular tabs have a plastic coating that washes right onto your dishes — plus chemicals linked to gut & hormone disruption.
❌ Finish
❌ Cascade
✅ swap to

Blueland — plastic-free, much safer, works great

🧺 laundry detergent
The worst brands contain sodium borate & synthetic fragrances (hormone disruptors) and are often contaminated with dioxane, a known carcinogen linked to skin irritation and allergies.
❌ Tide
❌ Gain
❌ Persil
✅ swap to

9 Elements, Attitude — safer and just as effective

🧻 disinfecting wipes
Clorox wipes contain quats, sodium hypochlorite, synthetic fragrances, and harsh preservatives — all linked to respiratory issues and skin irritation.
❌ Clorox wipes
✅ swap to

Biome wipes — no quats, or just use vinegar + water 🌿

🌬️ air fresheners
Sprays, plug-ins, and synthetic candles release VOCs, phthalates, and unlisted “fragrance” chemicals. They’re asthma triggers and indoor pollutants — and they just mask odors, not eliminate them.
❌ sprays
❌ plug-ins
❌ synthetic candles
✅ swap to
simmer pots or essential oil sprays like Poo~Pourri 🍊
💨 essential oil diffuser
Ultrasonic or nebulizing diffusers with pure essential oils are a great alternative for scenting your home naturally. Just make sure to use 100% pure oils.
✅ try it

pure essential oils only — no synthetic fragrance blends
